The 2022 Illuminations ended last weekend and this week we're featuring each one of the fabulous decorated boats that took part in this year's parade by the Matlock Bath Venetian Boat Builders' Association. A special shoutout to our longest serving boat builder, David Gregory of Matlock. Last year's Illuminations would have been his 50th consecutive year in the spectacular parade of decorated boats. Sadly the 2020 Illuminations were cancelled due to Covid, but David is back this year to chalk up his half century. David, who has won the best boat prize 11 times, was placed fourth this year with his brilliant Convert-a-Car from Wacky Races. A famous (true) story is that David and another long-time co
