In May 1992, EAA announced a monumental goal that would forever shift the landscape of youth aviation programs: to provide 1 million young people ages 8-17 an aircraft ride by the centennial of powered flight on December 17, 2003. The initiative was dubbed the Young Eagles program. More than 2 million Young Eagles flights later, we’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of the program this year, with #OSH22 this past week marking the official kickoff of festivities. | EAA - The Spirit of Aviation
