For the first time, over 100 rare objects from The Sunderland Collection have been made publicly accessible at Oculi Mundi – the Eyes of the World. One example is the earliest known printed European chronicle of the world, the Rudimentum Novitorum (1475). The world map shown here combines actual observation with geographic conjecture
